The 10SC16PC.24 by Newport is a UV Laser Line Polarizing Cube Beamsplitter designed for the efficient manipulation of narrow-band polarization in UV lasers operating at moderate power levels. Each individual polarizer unit consists of an assembled pair of precision right-angle prisms, chosen for their ability to minimize wavefront distortion. One of these prisms is coated with a multilayer dielectric polarizing beamsplitter on its hypotenuse, meticulously optimized for UV laser lines within the 351 nm to 355 nm range. To ensure optimal performance and minimal surface reflection losses, all four faces of the prisms are coated with a multilayer dielectric antireflection coating, tailored to the same UV laser line. The 10SC16PC.24 operates by splitting an unpolarized incident beam into two distinct components, both linearly polarized and oriented orthogonally to each other. Specifically, the S-polarized light experiences reflection, while the p-polarized light is transmitted, with both polarization states exhibiting minimal absorption. This beamsplitter features an extinction ratio that surpasses 100:1. This outstanding performance makes it an ideal choice for tasks requiring precise polarization purification within multimode and high-power laser systems, as well as in pulsed laser setups.
